Hi, my loves! My name is Lizzie, I'm currently 22 years old, and I'm the Owner of Melanin and Moon Minerals!!

For those of you who don’t know, I’m physically disabled! I have a disease called Charcot-Marie-Tooth Disease, also known as CMT, and Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, DMD. This disease causes damage to the peripheral nerves, and in my case, I have an extremely rare and progressive version of it. 

Which in short, means that my symptoms worsen at a rapid pace. Many doctors didn’t think I’d live to see past 13 years old, but here I am!

Despite being disabled and with all the day-to-day challenges I face, I always try to look on the bright side of things. Seeing as I wasn’t expected to live a very long life, I try to make every second count and I wanted to better my livelihood and others. So, I decided to find things that interested me and brought me joy. I’ve always been intrigued with rocks and the science of them, and once I discovered crystals, I started getting into spirituality, and boy, what a change it’s made in my life!

After starting my journey, I’ve noticed such positive changes being made within me, and it made me want to show people the beauty in the world, and how much happiness it can bring them, because every day isn’t promised.

And that’s how Melanin and Moon Minerals were born! I strive to create a peaceful and loving environment where everyone feels accepted and loved, and safe to enjoy what brings them happiness. I hope that is reflected in the crystals and in the love and care that I put into each and every single one of your packages!
